48mm Standard Size Packing Tape – The Good Stuff
Fed up with buying rubbish tape? So were we. We run multiple e-commerce businesses and pack hundreds of parcels every day. Tape is not an afterthought for us – it’s something we buy in bulk, and it has to work. If you’re in e-commerce and have landed here, you’re probably fed up with cheap, thin tape that doesn’t stick properly.
We’ve spent years buying tape from various sources; much of it is no good. The only tape we really liked was 3M – but nobody wants to pay £3 a roll for everyday parcel packing tape. So we went to China, visited a specialist tape factory in person, and had it made to our own specification. The video below explains everything.
Most cheap tape is 40 to 45 microns thick. Ours is 50 microns. That means more adhesive, a better bond, and you use less of it per box. Some listings advertise longer rolls. Ours are a bit shorter because thicker tape takes up more room on the roll. That longer, thinner roll is a false economy.
This is what we use in our own warehouse every day. We buy it by the container load. You’re getting the same tape we use ourselves.
