English Wooden Police Truncheon – Replica 1960s Leeds City Issue

£22.99

Description

This listing is for a faithful reproduction of a 1960s Leeds City Police constable’s truncheon.

Each piece is turned from Malaysian Oak and fitted with a leather lanyard with a raw edge, mirroring the look and feel of period originals. Weight is around 290g, and the length is just under 16 inches, a little over 40cm in metric.

Original English police truncheons are now fairly scarce. Most forces stopped issuing wooden truncheons in 1994, so genuine examples usually turn up only at antique fairs or auction houses. Prices generally begin at about £80 and often go well into three figures.

For collectors, enthusiasts, preppers, theatrical props buyers or anyone who simply wants one for display, this replica offers an inexpensive way to own a piece of British policing history.
